TPD is a startup company working to develop and implement simple derivatives-based short-term risk management plans. TPD focuses on Systematic Trading in Currency, Commodity & US Equity Futures and Options, based on very short-term market changes.
TPD is involved in research into derivatives strategies and short-term trading plans to manage risk against market volatility, following an approach similar to the FLLR strategy for retirement plans, described by Jason S. Scott and John G. Watson in a 2013 working paper shared at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. The Floor-Leverage Rule detailed in this paper is a spending and investment strategy using a 15%-85% mix of leveraged investments and income investments, designed for retirees who can tolerate high investment risk, to generate above-average overall returns for their retirement portfolios (ref. https://siepr.stanford.edu/publications/working-paper/floor-leverage-rule-retirement ).
TPD's current focus is to research, develop, back-test and implement regularly-adjusted, reusable short-term (daily) trading plan templates for US-based derivatives market.
Currently there is no product available to download or purchase, nor is TPD certified by any regulatory authority in the US or overseas, to offer any such product.
TPD is looking to develop a simple Derivatives trading platform that can integrate trading plans for FLRR in a semi-automated manner, in line with individual portfolio mix, risk tolerance and prevailing market conditions. Currently TPD depends on commercially available platforms from established brokerages, for use by the company.
